We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with extensive knowledge of AWS services and architecture. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud solutions, with the capability to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security. While minimal knowledge of Azure is sufficient, the primary focus is on AWS expertise.

Qualifications & Skills

Must Have:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cloud deployment and systems management.
  • Expertise in AWS services and architecture.
  • Experience in building applications using AWS native services.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills
  • Deep understanding of DevOps, cloud computing, and Agile delivery methodology.
  • Experience with DevOps toolchains like JIRA, Jenkins, GIT.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and deliver projects from scratch.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Desirable:

  • Basic knowledge of Azure.
  • Experience with configuration and deployment tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage cloud solutions and tooling within the scope of large simplification and modernization projects.
  • Automate build and deployment activities with a strong focus on DevOps & SecOps.
  • Manage and monitor environments in the cloud, ensuring effective performance and security.
  • Plan and implement cloud migration strategies for applications.
  • Build and maintain secure, optimized cloud environments.
  • Implement branching/merge strategies.
  • Apply configuration management methodologies.
  • Ensure effective defect remediation.
  • Contribute to creating environment and configuration management methodologies following a DevOps operating model.
  • Deliver comprehensive documentation for support teams to enable independent operation.
